Groundwater Technology as solution provider, how does that affect you?

Typically, Groundwater Technology is contacted by the client directly or through his consultant. This contact can arise due to historic or a new problem and can be from the commercial as well as the private sector.  If assessment reports are available then Groundwater Technology can work with these and assess the situation immediately. If assessment reports are absent then Groundwater Technology can quickly assess the situation.

Based on site specific information and the client’s needs an options appraisal is carried out to find the best remedial options available to the client based on costs, time, risks and contaminant type.

We present our vision to the client, with

an overview of the best remedial strategies open.  Our remedial strategies will normally contain remedial technology option(s), costs, planning times, implementation time scale etc.

This informs the client of the options that are available. Together with the client we review the viable options to select the most appropriate one. In some cases, we discuss options with the regulatory authorities to verify acceptance within existing rules, guidelines and policies (in particular when we propose solutions that are based on technologies that are new  or emerging in the local market).

Once the options appraisal and remedial strategy have been agreed with the client and the regulatory authorities Groundwater Technology  submit contracts for approval, detailing all contractual stipulations, scope of works, risk assignment between both client and Groundwater Technology. Once contracts have been agreed work commences.

The initial phase is the options appraisal, remedial strategy and remediation plans, gaining regulatory authority approval for the chosen remedial strategy and any work permits required to carry out the task.  Phase 2 is the installation of the chosen remediation technology. During phase 2 the Groundwater Technology’s on site staff work closely with the client to ensure minimum disruption to the client everyday business.

Phase 3 is the implementation of the remedial strategy again working closely with the client to ensure minimal disruption.

In some cases, post remediation monitoring may be the fourth and final step to secure regulatory approval.

In the case of an emergency, Groundwater Technology can appraise the situation and implement a remedial strategy immediately.
